For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son,$that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. |
Are you a good person?
Let's start with a few questions to find out if you need Jesus Christ to save you, who knows maybe you are a good person and worthy of going to heaven already.
Let's see if you are a good person based on God's law from the Bible.
If you have then you are a lair.
If you have then you are a thief.
So based on that law let me ask you again Have you ever committed adultery?
If you have then you are adulterers.
Everyone that goes around saying 'O My God' is taking God's name in vane and they are committing blasphemy.
So again have you ever committing this sin?
If you have then you are a blasphemer.
Well I am sure you answered yes to breaking at least one on these laws and these are just four of The Ten Commandments.
So you now know you have broken God's law, do you know the Bible says if we break one lay we are guilty of breaking all of God's laws? Well it true.
Now ask yourself again am I a good person in the eyes of God? Yes or No.
Of course your answer is no, no one is a good person based on the laws of God.
So with that in mind what should God do with you? Should he allow you to go to heaven when you have broken his laws? NO of course not if he did he would not be a very fair and just judge now would he? The truth is if he let you into heaven he would have to let everyone into heaven and what kind of lawless place would it be then?
So he cannot allow you to enter heaven so the only choice he has is to send you to hell, it's out of his hands there's nothing else he can do.
If you were to die right now you would go to hell FOREVER!
But wait there is good news.
Jesus Christ died for your sins he already paid the price for you, but you have to accept this gift of salvation from him, you have to repent and allow Jesus to change your life, to make you a new person.
That's the only way to go to heaven and avoid going to an everlasting hell.
He only wants you to believe. God wants you to believe his Word and live a true Christian lifestyle.
Jesus said:
John 3:3
...except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
You can believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, be baptized in His name, and live a Christian life - with the reward of eternal life and friendship with God.
Or, you can deny that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, refuse to be baptized in His name, and disobey God's commandments - with the reward of judgment.
If you repent and believe in him he will guide you in this life with peace and assurance - and reward you with eternal life.
At the time of your birth, two things happened; you were separated from your mother, and took your first breath.
Every person lives by the filling and refilling of natural air, which is a type of the Spirit. Being born again means you are filled with the Spirit of Christ Jesus.
Every person that is born again lives by the filling and refilling of the Holy Spirit, which is the breath of eternal life.
This is what it means to be born again. You leave behind all the things that used to satisfy your soul, and you become dependent on the Holy Spirit alone.
Jesus said:
John 14:15
If you love me, keep my commandments.
When asked what is the greatest commandment, He responded:
Matthew 22:37-39
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
How to be Saved (to be born again)
Here's where you should begin.
To become a true Christian and be saved, you must have a real relationship and genuine experience with the only real God (Jesus).
There are some basics that you need to know. You need to understand, accept, and believe the following concepts from these verses in the Bible:
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Ephesians 2 8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
I John 5:13
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
I John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 10:9-10
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
If you believe these verses - or want to believe these verses - pray the following: (the exact words are not important just make sure you confess you are a sinner and ask Jesus to make you a new person)
Lord Jesus, I need you. I know I am a sinner, I know I am worthy of going to hell. I repent of my sins, I am so sorry about the way I have lived my life and I am sorry for the sins I have commented against God's Law.
I promise you I will serve you for the rest of my life and that I will turn away from my life of sin and seek after you from this day moment on.
Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and ask you to save me from my sins and give me eternal life. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life.
I receive you as my Savior and Lord.
Please take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person you want me to be.
Help me to understand you, and to know you and to learn how to follow you. Free me from all of the things in my life that prevent me from following you. In the name of Jesus Christ I ask all these things now, Amen.
Did this prayer express your desire to know God and to want to know His love? If you were sincere in praying this prayer, Jesus Christ came into your heart and your life, just as He said he would.
It often takes courage to decide to become a Christian. It is the right decision to make, but It is difficult to fight against part of ourselves that wants to hang on, or to fight against that part of our selves that has trouble changing. The good news is that you do not need to change yourself. Just cry out to God, pray, and he will begin to change you. God does not expect you to become perfect before you come to Him. Not at all! This is why He sent Jesus - so that we would not have to become perfect before being able to know God.
1 Corinthians 15:1
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
Now that you are saved you must hold on that that you have been given and not return to your old ways, because you don't want to risk losing what you have found.

For the person who is not yet saved, their understanding of their state of sin and God's personal love and care for them, and His desire and ability to save them is what enables anyone to become saved.
So yes, the 'being saved' process works only for those who believe in Jesus Christ, and Him only, and place their faith in Him and in His work done on the Cross.
Believing saves a person because of what it allows God to do in the heart and soul of that person. But it is not simply the fact of a 'belief'. The issue is not about having a belief but rather who and what we believe in.
If a person believes in salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone, then that belief saves them.
No - but because of the sovereignty of God and what He does to them when they ask him into their heart and life. When a person decides to place their faith in Jesus Christ, ask Him to forgive them of their sins, and invite Jesus Christ into their life and heart, this is what saves them! It is what God does for them at that moment in time.
At the moment when a person sincerely believes and asks God to save them as described above, is when He takes the life of that person, and in accordance with their will, having requested God to save them from their sins through Jesus Christ, that God takes that person's life and sins (all sins past and present, but NOT future sins), and allocates them to the category of "one of those people who accepted the free gift of eternal salvation that God offers".
From that point forward, their past sins are no longer counted against them. Their 'sin account' is paid for by the shed blood of Jesus Christ. There is no person that could ever sin so much that God's love would not be enough for them. There is no sin debt that cannot be covered by the death that Jesus Christ paid. Otherwise, sin would be more powerful than Jesus Christ - which is not true.
The first extreme is that they think they are not sinners.
Usually, this is because a person has not committed a 'serious' sin such as murder - but God says that all sin separates us from Him, even supposedly small sins. We as humans tend to evaluate sin into more serious and less serious categories because we do not understand just how serious 'small' sins are.
But we are all sinners and all have a need for God in order to have eternal salvation. Sin is sin in the eyes of God - be it a lie or murder - it's still sin.Second the extreme is that they think they are not good enough for Jesus Christ to save them.
This is the thinking of those who reject the free offer of salvation by Christ Jesus because those people are literally unwilling to believe. After death they will believe, but they can only choose eternal life BEFORE they die.The fact is that all of us are not good enough for Jesus Christ to save them. That is why Paul wrote:
Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Thankfully, that is not the end of the story because he also wrote:
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
That free offer of salvation is clarified in the following passage:
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
I would be very glad if you could let me know that you have trusted the Lord Jesus Christ, so I can rejoice with you and help you along the way on your new life.
May God Bless you my new Brother or Sister in Christ.
