Q - Why are Christians so blind and dead set in what they believe?

A - Because most Christians are very trusting and they believe what they are told by their pastors and teachers.

So with blind faith they think they know what the Bible teaches without really having any first hand knowledge from personal study.

And this is fine if their pastors and teachers know what the Bible teaches themselves but many of them believe things based on what they were tough by their pastors and teachers and that's where the traditional religious doctrine comes in to play. It doesn't matter if it's true or not as long as everyone believes it's true.

And when they find someone that has really studied the Bible and tells them that what they believe is incorrect they call him or her a false teacher or false prophet, and they try to teach him or her that what they believe is the truth and in truth they themselves have become the false teacher or false prophet. I know this is true all too well as I get emails all the time calling me a false teacher or false prophet.

If I ask them to back up what they are telling me with the word of God they say something stupid like well I have the best pastor in the world and he says… or my husband says… or I have always heard… or my mother always told me… or my personal favorite is, I read a bestselling book and it says…

I DON"T CARE!

If you can't back it up with the word of God it is worth nothing!

Read the Bible first and know what it teaches by heart before you try to teach others!

The Bible says:

Matthew 15:14 "And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch"

That's why today's Church is deteriorating before God, the blind is leading the blind and they will all fall into the ditch.
