Frequently Asked Questions
Q - I have been disappointed when I thought the Rapture would happen but it didn't what should I do?
A - Try not to get your heart set on any one day.
Getting your heart set on a date that the Rapture will happen is not a good thing to do, many people have done this through the years and obviously they were wrong. God works on his timetable and not ours the Rapture will happen at God's appointed time and date.
I believe the Bible teaches us that the dead in Christ will rise first and the Rapture will happen just after they rise however as for the year we are commanded to watch the signs of the times and wait for the correct year, it may be this year or any year in the future so never get your heart set on one date.
We should always live as if today is the day for the Rapture and not worry about when it will happen but hope and pray for our Lord's return. We should always watch and hope everyday of our lives.
Also remember the rapture is not meant as an escape to your everyday problems, if you want the rapture to happen because you have problems or you want a way off this world then you are not in the right mainframe, the purpose of the rapture is to remove us from earth so we don't have to face the coming tribulation. It's not for your personal pleasure.
You should want to be with Jesus Christ and serve him and help him set up his new kingdom, it will be hard work and you will be very busy so the rapture is not some great escape to a wonderful retirement, it's the beginning of a new holy life with Jesus Christ and that why we should be watching for it and wanting it to happen.
In these end times, as we wait and watch for his return, we should be about our Father's business: the completion of the work in us that was started by our acceptance of salvation through Jesus. It is, as you already know, called sanctification and is a means of growing towards being overcomers in the present world, rather than being only babes in Christ. Salvation is the first step in becoming the persons we can ultimately become.
The rapture will happen, it will happen when God says it's time for it to happen, in the mean time spend your days wining souls to Christ and making yourself ready to be his bride. ONLY "overcomers" will be the bride of Christ so get your life right with God and don't worry so much about when the rapture is going to happen, it will happen soon so just watch for it and pray to be found worthy and wait for the lord.
God bless you all.
