Frequently Asked Questions
Q - Do you think there will be animals in heaven?
A - Personally I believe my favorite animals will be there.
I had a dog for 14 years and I now have a Cat and I believe they and other animals I have been friends with will be there for me when I get to Heaven. Why do I believe this? Because God tells us in the Bible
"Delight yourself also in the LORD: and he shall give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4
I want my animal friends to be in heaven with me so why would God not keep his promise to me and grant what I desire? After all there's no sin in love and wanting love and I love my pets. For those who believe that animals do not have souls you need to first learn what a soul is. The soul forms the basic thought patterns (personally) of a person or animal and all my animals had or have personally therefore that must have a soul.
Psalm 36.6
Your rightousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O lord, you preserve both man and beast.
When God created man He gave Him all the animals, birds etc to name, and the text denotes a relationship of sorts between Adam and all the rest of creation - there's certainly no mention at that point of animals fearing him or him having to chase them around to have contact.
And initially there was no mention of eating any of them either. After the fall however, that changed, and suddenly man was no longer a friend to creation having brought it all under judgement by the fall, until after the flood when the animal kingdom in particular was to become a food source as God then specifically states:
1 Corinthians 15:35-39
But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not
quickened, except it die:
And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of
beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds
Animals are part of God's perfect and wonderful creation and as such, they bring glory to Him. Heaven is likely to contain all of the best of God's handiwork, and more. It may be that believers will be privileged to enjoy their beloved pets as well as all of the other types of animals that we now have to view from behind bars at the zoo.
I can think of many people, who have never been able to get close to animals because of severe allergies. We know that Heaven will completely eradicate that illness. So, I am open to the idea that animals will be in Heaven.
"And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha" (2 Kings 6:17).
"And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war" (Rev 19:11).
"And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean" (Rev 19:14).
Take a look at
Job 12:10.
In His hand is the Soul of every Creatrue and the breath of all mankind.
Isaiah 65:25
The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox... They will neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mountain for the Earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord...
In the time God first created this earth he created Animals, trees and all life on earth, he then looked at what he created and said "It is good" God never changes, what he created here on earth before the days of Adam and Eve he found to be good and God never destroyers that which is found good in his eyes.
So yes I do have faith that my pets will be taken care of by God and the Bible says:
Mark 9:23
"Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth."
Also:
"John 16:22-23 "And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."
Ask the father for your pets to be with you and have faith and you will have your pets. The Bible says it, I believe it, that settles it!
I believe that everything that is good in this life and in this world will be in our lives forever and many other good things. Anything we lose in heaven was not good to start with!
I was told in a vision once "When you are searching for answers to any question just remember God never changes" I have found that this helps answer the questions that is difficult to find answers to and I think God for giving us a simple way to know what he will do in almost any situation.
God bless you all.
